  How do I deal with my hatred?

  i know that thousands of you have gone through the same thing i'm facing but right now it doesn't help.

  i know that some of you have faced much worse - losing family through the blood issue or having to deal with abuse and i know that in comparison my problems may seem not so severe but as bad as it sounds knowing all that just doesn't matter right now.. it started yesterday and there's no stopping it, the official shunning.

  one member of the family right now will see the month end with me losing my sisters, brother and my mum.. i love them and i know that in a sense they are victims too but i just cannot reach them.

  Sorry nic...It sucks..

  A good friend helped me get through the anger stage. I wish I could recall some of her words of wisdom. She had lost a good friend who was a senior and an elder to suicide when he was removed from his position as elder due to a family member not walking the line.

  She helped me see that the people were mostly sincere victims and she taught me how to love them all, even the cocky self righteous dubs who would say the meanest things. The love tempered the hatred and I started feeling so much better inside.

  Even the Bethel boobs for the most part are sincere "followers of followers and victims of victims" so who's left to hate?

  Anger management therapy may be useful. We have to express our anger in healthy ways and make sure we do not turn the anger back into ourselves by drinking or other means. For me it is writing, for others it may be beating a pillow to a pulp, or hitting a boxers ball, etc..

  Jehovah`s Witness Memory Loss.....BrainWashed or Selective Memory

  how many times have we meet jehovah`s witness`s that could`t remember what they preached years earlyer?..they will down right deny it,until you stick thier own literature under thier nose..some say it`s because of brainwashing,some say it`s selective memory....what causes memory loss in jehovah`s witness`s?.....outlaw

  I often wondered that myself. It leans towards brainwashing because I knew people who I spent lots of time with talking about preparing for the end in 1975, who remained faithful droids after. 10 plus years later they said that 1975 was never discussed, taught, talked about or believed to be the Big A date, when I was there with them talking about it and we all believed it was the date prior to it.

  So that had nothing to do with new light since it never happened...

  I really love the ladies of JWD! You are all smart, passionate, caring, forgiving Watchtower survivors. You have all been an inspiration to me.

  Career Change???

  well i worked for many years in low paying jobs-fast food,motels, delivering pizzas.

  i started working in a law enforcement field nearly 8 years ago, and have been there ever since.

  i always was interested in law enforcement and fire/rescue when i lived in kentucky, so i finally entered the corrections field in 1999. it's a decent paying job with benefits galore, i have lots of sick time built up along with lots of vacation time.

  The first thing that hit me for you was medical sales. You can make plenty of money to travel and will on the job, will eat out at fine restaurants, make plenty of money for jet ski's and a quadrunner.

  What I found was that after being a dub, we are darn good at sales. I made over $1000 a week working part time in sales in Hawaii with no experience and it was FUN.

  i had my kids last weekend, and they seemed hapy, and content.

  i called a couple of times earlier this week as usual, to see how they are doing, and got the answering machine.

  How do you make friends once leaving the Borg?

  so i'm starting the fading out now, and i'm avoiding all kh 'friends,' but am finding it a bit lonely, as was raised in org, and was always taught to shun worldly people even at school.

  does anyone have any advice or experiences about how to overcome this?

  how they met and made new friends in the beginning?

  This is a difficult stage to be at in the leaving WT process. You may feel a little like an outsider whatever you do try to do. I would get to know people without sharing a lot about myself at first, simply because we can go through so many changes during the exiting process that it does no good to take others with us on the roller coaster ride. That is what we are here at forum for.

  I don't work due to poor health also but I am on the upside of my illness so I am putting all my efforts into charity. I meet many people this way. I am currently fundraising so I am meeting all the business owners in town.

  If you haven't yet, read the social sections of your local newspaper and see if anything sounds interesting to you. There are charities, clubs, meetings of all kinds that may interest you. I know it will be so new and so foriegn at first but the more you take that first step the easier the next step becomes.

  Have fun! The world is full of amazing people places and things.

  what is required from us?

  the two most important things are to love god and to love your neighbor, following jesus' example.. since we already know that all god requires from us is love (and the respect that accompanies it of course) why do jws feel they are "chosen" when they espouse hate?.

  interesting that i have been asked to "push" the love part in field service, and told that the rest is "too much for them to understand at first.

  AHA!!! I think I've finally got it!

  many of you know of the saga of my foot problems.

  after 4 years of in depth investigation not one test has shown why my feet are either on fire or numb, or itchy, or swollen etc etc.

  not one doctor has .discovered why they can feel all the above at the same time.. what they do know is that i have two high risk problems - extremely high arches with high instep and morton's toe (second toe is longer than the large toe.. they also know that i've never broken a toe (which surprised me because i have certainly stubbed it enough times) and that i haven't worn high heels in twenty years.. so my conclusion here is that since the wts had me walking all over the territory in field service peddling their wares my feet just finally gave out.

  You'd have to have a good podiatrist to fix the feet bones problems but the skin problems may be helped with peroxide. I keep peroxide in a spray bottle for hubby. It works to kill the fungi and bacteria I think. Then I use a natural baking soda inside all the shoes regularly. I tend to have skin sensitivites from auto immune disease.

  My science minded husband bought me this lotion that has been the best product I have ever found. I use it as a makeup remover, facial cleaner, moisterizer the whole thing. It is amazing stuff.
